We were delighted to attend a series of inspiring heritage courses delivered by the Sussex Heritage Trust.
Joined by students from Chichester College and Crawley College, our students took part in sessions at Bader College, Herstmonceux Castle, including ornamental plastering and sash window repair workshops.
A huge thank you to everyone involved - it was fantastic to see our students getting hands-on and fully immersed in these interactive experiences π

We were delighted to see some of our students take part in a series of Meaningful Futures workshops! π±β¨
Held in partnership with Sussex Bay, our students worked alongside peers from Northbrook College and BHASVIC together with local organisations to rethink how work experience and career pathways can better reflect the needs of future generations.
A clear shift in priorities emerged, with students favouring authentic, real-world experiences over traditional careers portals, and less pressure to have their futures mapped out too early.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make these innovative workshops possible π

Some of our extremely talented Gateway students have been hard at work transforming part of the college into a brand-new sensory hub. β€οΈ
πΏ Located at our East Campus, the hub now features a range of sensory equipment, a kitchen and office space, two iPads, and a beautifully refurbished garden, complete with a fruit and vegetable patch.
π± The project also brought collaboration across the college, with our Carpentry students building bespoke planters that Gateway staff and students used to bring the garden to life.
This fantastic project was made possible thanks to funding from national charity Dreams Come True Charity. π

π·ββοΈ We were delighted to welcome Steve George from Willmott Dixon to the college, where he delivered an engaging and informative session on safety in the construction industry. π§
As part of his visit across three colleges, Steve also spent time with students at Chichester College and Crawley College sharing valuable insights into health and safety, as well as the wide range of roles and career pathways available in construction.
A huge thank you to Steve for inspiring our students, and to everyone who helped make the visit a success! π
