Big School Camp create full-sized pop-up campsites with a host of outdoor learning experiences on the school site, allowing pupils to participate at low cost. us team building skills. These provide children with unique and unrivalled experiences which they will remember for their entire lives. Accommodation- Big School Camp has a large number of tents that help to create an instant festival-style campsite. We also have a number of bell tents and event shelters available. Big School Camp provides all the staff and equipment for the camps. Staff- Our staff come from a wealth of backgrounds and different organisations, but come together as a community for our camps, all holding Enhanced DBS and First Aid qualifications as well as a multitude of relevant specialist qualifications and skills. Food- We have our very own registered catering team who travel with us to the camps and provide all the food that your school needs for the duration of the camp. They set up in a festival style, and have a range of menus available, suitable for all dietary requirements. Camping at School- Having a Big School Camp sited in the school grounds reduces the cost of providing these life enhancing experiences for pupils, and allows greater opportunities for a whole year group to participate together. Transport issues and anxieties are removed and the pupils are welcomed into a familiar space which they access every day which is transformed in to a stylish campsite, with areas marked out for exciting new activities. This new and unfamiliar layout provides a safe, well-staffed and well organised outdoor learning environment. Timetable- The camp runs along the pupils’ normal timetabled school day, and then smoothly moves into the overnight camp. Packages- We tailor all our bespoke packages to the school’s individual needs. We take into account poverty-proofing, making sure that this opportunity can be affordable for all pupils to attend. Planning/ Evolve- We support the school all the way through the planning process, ensuring that all the necessary paperwork and Evolve forms are completed correctly. Transition- We offer transition Camps to support children moving between the Key Stages, through team building activities. Off Site Residential- We can also to offer schools, if preferred, the opportunity to attend offsite residential courses at our privately-owned sites. Covid-19- In the current climate we have full Covid Risk Assessments in place. Booking- To confirm a booking, we are currently taking a 25% fully refundable deposit. If the camp cannot take place due to Covid-19 restrictions, the school will receive a full refund. We will collect the final balance much nearer the date of the camp, which is also refundable should Covid-19 prevent the camp from taking place. Availability- We have some limited availability left for 2021 and we are offering our bookings diary for 2022 to our more local schools in Sussex first.
