Merry Christmas from all of us at Shika! 🎄💛 Thank you to everyone who has supported our students this year — your kindness has helped young people in Tanzania continue their education, graduate from university, and move confidently into careers they love. Many of our former students are now working as teachers, doctors, nurses, safari guides, actors, dancers, mechanics, lawyers, and vets, government staff...and more...and we are so proud of everything they’ve achieved. Your generosity makes such a difference, and we’re truly grateful.

We’re also wishing all of our Shika students the very best for the year ahead — we believe in you and we’re cheering you on. Your support makes such a difference, and we’re truly grateful. Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a bright, hopeful start to 2025. 💛✨

Of the 100 young people supported by Shika since 2006, 84 have now gone on to complete their A-levels, diplomas (technical college) and/or university. These inspiring young adults are thriving in their professions as teachers, doctors, accountants, conservation rangers, journalists, actresses and professional dancers - to name just a few!

The remaining 13 younger students are currently finishing their high school education - and we’re excited to see where their journeys will take them.

In 2024, our graduates have formed a volunteer group to give back to their communities. They’re helping vulnerable individuals, including the sick and the elderly, by donating their own time and resources to make a difference.

We couldn’t be prouder of these amazing young people and we’re so grateful to our sponsors to helping make this possible. Thank you for believing in them 🩷❤️🧡💛 🇹🇿 💚🩵💙💙

Shika Celebrations 2023 - Congratulations to all the Shika Students!

26/11/2023

In June 2023, we held a party for Shika students in Arusha, Tanzania, to celebrate their successes and achievements. Young people came from across the country to join the event. We’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved so far - and excited to see what their futures hold.

A big thank you to all the sponsors for making it possible - as mentioned by Albin, your belief and support has been lifechanging. 🩷🙏🏼 🌍

Dear friends, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that one of our students, Loreen, passed away this week. We are sending our love and support to her family and friends at this difficult time, and also her sponsors who have graciously supported her for all these years. Loreen was a wonderful young women and we were all immensely proud of her. We are heartbroken. We pray that in this difficult time, the love of God shelters and mends the pain of the family moving forward .

Please keep Loreen's family, her friends and sponsors in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Rest easy Loreen, we love you and will miss you. ❤️
