Well, that wraps up another Business Startup Course with Cute Dog!

This week, our participants took on their final task with the end of course Dragons’ Den presentations. Competing for the £500 ‘Best Small Business’ prize, everyone was given 15 minutes to pitch their ideas to the Dragons and show off their newly acquired business skills.
Of course we had to end the course on a high note, following the presentations with an afternoon of celebrations, food and inspiring company!

We would like to say a massive congratulations to all of our participants; regardless of whether or not you presented at the Dragon’s Den, we are so proud of you for having the courage to trust in yourself and invest in your incredible startup ideas. It has been wonderful to watch you progress along your journeys and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these innovative businesses! We’re looking forward to seeing some of you on the cover of Forbes magazine in a few years time ;)

We’d like to give a huge thank you to Julie and Sophie for making this course happen, and for extending such invaluable advice about running a small business in the United Kingdom.
Another big thank you goes to our course facilitator, Lere, for the unwavering motivation he provided our participants every week - he certainly brought the OOMPH we all need!

Who are we?
We are a female-led and disability-conscious social enterprise, here to support anyone who wants to make their business ideas into a reality!
And we really mean anyone.
Here at Cute Dog we believe that, with the right support, everyone has the ability to start their own business.

The Cute Dog team are primarily problem-solvers: we figure out solutions to help you create the best business strategy possible!

What makes us special?
We know that finding a job you love can be difficult at the best of time. For someone with employment barriers, it can feel impossible.
At Cute Dog, we are committed to working with these barriers rather than around them, to provide long-term solutions which benefit everyone.
Some examples of employment barriers include: disability, poverty, abuse, parenting/caring responsibilities, age, lack of basic employability skills, inadequate qualifications, disadvantaged backgrounds, mental illness, health conditions, criminal records, no access to transportation, speaking English as a second language, and employment gaps.

❓ WHEN❓ Please make sure you can attend our INDUCTION EVENT on Thursday, 23rd SEPTEMBER between 11am - 1pm. The induction will take place in slots of 20 minutes each. The course then starts on the 5th October and runs every Tuesday for 6 weeks.

❓ WHY❓ Cute Dog will help participants ensure they get the legal structure, name, finances, marketing and customers. Run by expert business advisors, they will help you learn from other’s mistakes, and find you routes to local funding and marketplaces.

We had so much fun at Ashington Fair last weekend! We worked on delivering Kickstart roles to unemployed 18 - 25 year olds, in between playing on the rides of course 😉 🎠 🎡 🎢 🤹‍♀️ ✨

🌟 Sophie, Robyn and Julian from Cute Dog had a very successful day at the DWP event at Worthing job centre yesterday! 🌟

Together they created 137 new Kickstart job opportunities at a range of different companies across South-East England!

This is just one example of the important work Cute Dog does to support business growth and personal development. We work to help jobseekers as well as businesses through the creation of opportunities which benefit both parties!
