When you've been practising CranioSacral Therapy for a while, you’ll definitely notice this:
Two clients can come in, with the same medical diagnosis, and yet their body will respond to what you do very differently.

Why is this?

Because their body will have had a totally different life. We all experience different knocks, injuries or traumatic events and we all store or compensate for them differently.

With CranioSacral Therapy we learn to listen - with our hands - to the precise ways that the body is doing this, and how to follow the body’s own plan to release and change things one step at a time.

Would you like to learn how to know exactly where to start in a session, and how to get to the root of an issue?

Come and do some training with us - you’ll learn a hugely effective and probably unexpected, step by step way to do this throughout our classes!

Two clients, perhaps with the same medical diagnosis, different sessions, every time.

⚽ It's England's first match of the World Cup today!

While we'll all be watching the goals, saves and celebrations we're also following some of the important conversations happening behind the scenes around concussion, recovery and brain health in sport.

At Upledger UK, we're passionate about supporting recovery through CranioSacral Therapy, particularly for those experiencing ongoing symptoms after concussion or head injury. It's an area that's receiving increasing attention across all levels of sport.

So before kick-off, we have to ask...
👇 What's your prediction?

⚽ Are England bringing it home?!

⚽ Who will be our top goalscorers?

For now though...

Come on England! 🦁

⚽ Every World Cup brings moments of commitment, courage and occasionally complete chaos!

But alongside the goals and celebrations, repeated impacts to the head are becoming an increasingly important conversation in sport.

The Upledger Foundation in the US has worked with former professional footballers and athletes experiencing persistent post-concussion symptoms through an intensive CranioSacral Therapy and manual therapy programme, helping many participants achieve significant improvements.

What's often misunderstood is that concussion doesn't only affect these elite athletes - and it doesn't always involve being knocked unconscious.

In fact, most concussions occur without any loss of consciousness.

Common symptoms can include:
🧠 Brain fog
🤕 Headaches
💫 Dizziness
😵 Balance problems
💡 Sensitivity to light or noise
📚 Memory and concentration difficulties

This misconception is one reason concussion can sometimes go unrecognised, particularly in sport and accidents.

As awareness grows, so does interest in approaches that may support people experiencing longer-term symptoms.

Everyone we meet on our CST courses has such a unique and interesting story of how they began their journey.

For some it was a client who inspired them to start.
For others it was a personal experience.
Some arrived from physio.
Some from massage.
Some from nursing.
Some from completely different careers who started training from scratch.

Thinking about where a CranioSacral Therapy journey could take you?

Day 3 of CST1 in London. The most beautiful venue in Shepherds Bush, and the most amazing cafe across the road - look at the wall art and the hands holding the light 🤣🤣🤣.

Students & TAs are awesome too 😁❤️❤️❤️

⚽ The World Cup is here! As mum to two keen footballers we'll be watching and celebrating the incredible skill, determination and resilience of the world's best footballers over the coming weeks.

But alongside the goals and glory, there's another conversation that’s beginning to get the level of attention it needs.

Concussion.

An injury that happens (not just) in sport…Many people recover quickly. Others experience symptoms that can last for weeks, months or even years.

Headaches.
Brain fog.
Dizziness.
Poor concentration.
Sleep difficulties.
And other longer term issues.

FIFA are changing the rules this year.

Last World Cup they brought in ‘Concussion Spotters’ - experts with ability to replay footage quickly and assess whether a concussion had occurred. This year, if it has, a team can make a substitution that doesn’t count as one of their five.

We’ll be sharing a bit more about this subject during the tournament, and demonstrating what CranioSacral Therapy has to add to the Concussion Conversation.

But for now - as Sócrates, who captained Brazil's legendary 1982 side, said:

"Beauty comes first. Victory is secondary. What matters is joy."

Let the games begin.

Last Call! CST1's in London Next Week.

Well nearly the last call - you have until the end of the week (and I say that because we still get one or two last minuters every time!) but there are only a couple of places left due to the size of the venue.

Is it you? Is it *your* place that's still waiting to be claimed?

If you're a bodyworker who keeps getting drawn to the head but are not sure what to do when you get there....

Or you want to work a little more lightly with your hands (do you know - you can usually feel MORE by doing less!)...

Or you've heard about the (maybe mysterious) craniosacral rhythm and want to know what that adds to the treatment pot...

Then you'll love this class.

Its full, rich, intensive and a lot of fun. You'll take away a whole set of techniques that you can integrate into what you do.

Brave that phone call and get in touch!

The most watched video after one week on our new YouTube Channel: Inside CranioSacral Therapy?

Why the Temporal Bone is so Cool.

You beautiful people 😂😂!

Probably because most of the subscribers so far are practitioners who know about it and are therefore curious about the details!

But there wil be lots more to come, including things like:
What to know before you have a CST treatment,
Why is my CST Pratitioner Talking to Me? and
What will happen in a session -

Things useful for our clients as well.

I'm aiming for 3 playlists - people interested in CST, people interested in training and current students / practitioners wanting more juicy and mind expanding insights!

Stay tuned - or subscribe if you haven't yet!

What would it actually take for something to rock your world?

I mean, really rock it, not just be interesting and forgettable... but change how you work, impress your clients even more than you already do, and touch something deeper within yourself too?

I needed a few things. Something grounded in science and anatomy (I like to understand to why something works, when possible, not just that it does). But something that also acknowledged that we're more than just a physical body - we're also emotional, energetic, and even more multi-dimensional than that...

And the results needed to be able to speak for themselves. I was expecting changes over weeks and different sessions - I've been amazed when they're sometimes dramatic - in a single session! But I wanted clients to get what they needed.

CranioSacral Therapy has brought me all of those.

It also does literally rock....!

Because we all have a craniosacral rhythm... It reflects through the whole body, and yet it's subtle enough that most people don't know it's there... until they learn to feel it.

When it lands in your hands for the first time, first morning of CST1? That's usually when the world-rocking begins. (Ha!)

CST1 will send you home with a complete treatment protocol.

You can start weaving techniques into your existing practice straight away, or begin practicing on family and friends if you're going to start our Training from Scratch.

Most people know pretty soon if it's going to rock their world.

If you'd like to find out, join us in London, 9-12 June.
