Call for participants for study on children and young players’ welfare in professional football clubs
Researchers at the University of Sussex are looking for parents/guardians, professionals and anyone else with experience of football academies in the UK, especially those sponsored by Premier League clubs.
This also includes current and ex-players who have trained at professional academies.
The project explores welfare conceptions and provision in football academies sponsored by professional clubs.
Participation consists of an interview of approximately 1 hour, online and at mutually convenient time, in order to gather a range of experiences.
All data and results will be strictly anonymised in accordance with ethics approval standards (Ethics approval number: 2025-0214).
