🎤💭Yesterday we co-hosted a Student Rep Development Day with and Student Voice, to provide a space for confidence building, creating community, listening practices for marginalised communities, mapping skills and optimising LinkedIn. Reps then enjoyed plenty of socialising, cake & ceramic painting!

💬“Being far from home, it was a way for me to measure how well I am integrating into the community and culture, without the academic pressure. The award gives you access to a what’s going on in and around Sussex, but it creates room for developing relationships and friendships in a way that’s stress free.” - a recent quote from BA Philosophy & English student, Valerie who recently featured on the podcast!

We are giving them the opportunity to create a 3D hologram using their phones that they can then bring home, plus brain teaser tasks alongside. An incentive is also on offer of a prize draw for a £50 supermarket voucher!

This event will be on Wednesday 29th March, 2-4pm at the Bridge Café, Pevensey II.

The purpose of this event is to engage students in creative activities whilst also gaining feedback on a specific topic in an informal, sociable environment. In this session, we are hoping to gain feedback on the Spirit of Sussex Award as they have seen a reduced engagement with STEM students and wondered why this is the case. So students will be given the opportunity to feedback on this topic if they wish, but want to focus more on giving them the opportunity to participate and create.
