🎶How do students gain a place on the ‘Ignite’ programme?
Students will ‘audition’ and/or interview for their place on the ignite programme to show their dedication. A panel of staff will be put together to ensure all judgements are made fairly, this will include staff from the Performing Arts department, the wider school community and our ALT team.
🎶How many students will be accepted onto the programme?
There are a total of 35 spaces available for our ignite programme. This will be distributed between each of our pathways as evenly as possible.
🎶What if a student is not successful in gaining a place on the programme?
Students who are not successful in gaining a place on the Ignite programme will be encouraged to take part in our other extracurricular clubs including Dance club, choir, and our extra music provisions.
Our annual trips to the Bristol Hippodrome will still be available to ALL students and as always will be served on a first-come-first-served basis.
🎶Is my child able to re-audition for ignite the following year?
Absolutely, students will be placed on a waiting list in case a space becomes available. Alternatively, your child can re-audition the following academic year should they wish to do so.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Miss Soby who can sign post you with all of the relevant information. Our Ignite introduction pack will be sent to all parents at the end of the week with our Performing Arts Welcome Bulletin.
