A huge thank you to our wonderful PTFA for funding our fantastic new AstroTurf area and outdoor equipment.

The children have been thoroughly enjoying these exciting additions, and it has been wonderful to see pupils of all ages making the most of the new space. These resources are already having a positive impact across the school.

School Closure Notice

Due to the Red Extreme Heat Warning in place and following careful consideration of official advice and a comprehensive risk assessment, our schools will be closed on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June 2026.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff and wider school community remain our highest priority.

We will be sharing details directly with families regarding learning activities and work to be completed during the closure period.

We’re so proud of the children who represented Spaxton at the Quantock Education Trust Social Action Conference. They had a fantastic time meeting pupils from other schools across the Trust, making new friendships and working together on activities focused on character, community and inclusion. It was wonderful to see our children sharing ideas and learning from others.

We require an empathetic and pro-active TA/HLTA to support predominantly in our mixed age KS2 class and work alongside the class teacher class to provide a stable, caring, stimulating and supportive learning environment, which enables pupils to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally. This post is 32.5hrs per week Monday to Friday, term time plus one week

🌿 Supporting Bishop Michael on His Holy Week Pilgrimage 🌿

This week, Bishop Michael from the Diocese of Bath & Wells is walking a special Holy Week pilgrimage through the Quantocks and Exmoor, visiting churches and spending time in prayer along the way. He will be coming through Spaxton on Friday.

Our children at Spaxton C of E Primary School wanted to send him some encouragement and a few of their own prayers to support him on his journey.
