What a great day we had last week on our Sports Day - Hit and Miss whether it was going to go ahead - but the clouds cleared for us for just a little bit and the sun shone! This is a huge highlight for many of the children - we have been practising nearly everyday - all this term. Our Mantra is 'it's not about winning but giving it a go and trying your best' and they all did - Well done all and well done parents and carers for taking part as well - I know where the children get their competitiveness from 😆

What a fabulous day we all had yesterday. Sharing the experiences with Triscombe class as well! 6199 steps, Starting our adventure on our exciting coach journey with thanks yet again to Nick Somerset Passenger Solutions - our first stop was at the Ancient Harbour town of Watchet to look at the boats, followed by a ride on the Steam Train to Dunster Station (amazing experiences and highly recommended especially if you are a school), a lovely walk through a working farm along a dusty track and meadow flowers, picnic on the beach, collecting shells and burying our bodies in the sand followed by a delicious ice cream and a return coach ride where the fun of the day caught up with them and they finally rested their eyes. Thank you to all staff and volunteers who supported us on the day 🥰

This term is 'all about me' - we are talking about what makes us the same and what makes us different. Today we drew around ourselves and enjoyed a painting session in the garden.

We discovered from last weeks circle time that we needed to know a little bit more about what makes a Village - So today we all had our little clip boards with key places which make up our lovely little village. From the school we went to the Village Hall and playing fields (luckily we brought some bubbles), then back down the high street to Stogursey Wells, Saw a man in the Garage fixing a car, spoke to Mr Woodvine in the Cafe, waved to the man in the tractor, sat in the Village square spotting the two local shops, the post box and the Church - then our favourite bit we had fun in the park. 4672 steps later! Now we know what makes our Village! Ofsted may call it Cultural Capital - we call it experiences!! xx

A busy week learning about the coronation of King Charles III, Making our own Crowns, making flags and creating Castles. A BIG thank you to Stogursey Parish for gifting each child a coronation mug ❤️🤍💙🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

🎼🎼🎼You will need your volume for this - we are down in the jungle where nobody goes and there's a big hippo washing his clothes 🥰Anything can ignite a song and this long grass on our walk did exactly that. We just stopped and let the children explore and play - you can hear their excitement. Simple things!
