🪼 Day 4: Your Ideas, My Problem 🪼

🌊 Today's challenge came from the brilliant : a jellyfish! Armed with just an empty a toilet roll and some leftover gift wrap to work with and not content with a nice easy job at the kitchen table, I decided to make more of a challenge for myself and do it on the beach. In the wind. With rain clouds looming. Easy, right?

🌊 However, beach had my back and gave me oodles of inspiration - I spied some seaweed and thought I could style them as tentacles!

🌊 So, a race against time with the weather and one very determined preschool-crafter later... I created a jellyfish master peice!

🌊 And I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome of this one. I cant really take all the credit though, nature really did come through as my co-creator today!

🐑 Soooo... tomorrow's challenge? I picked up some sheep's wool on the mountain yesterday, so it could be wool + seaweed as my starting point... but I want YOUR ideas. What should I make? 👇

☀️ Sunshine in Ireland??? We weren't going to question it! ☀️

🏖 We grabbed today by the horns and traded the craft table for sandy toes and salty air instead. The girls dug in the sand, ran, splashed and did all the things they do best when they're let loose in nature; and it was fabulous. Entirely sunshine and family time all day and well needed.

🏖 Don't worry, the paper leaflet craft (Day 3 of 'Your Ideas, My Problem') is coming, but tomorrow instead - Achill Island isn't going anywhere and neither is my crafting habit!

🏖 Sometimes the best plan is no plan... just sunshine, sand and the people you love.

😳 I have created a monster 😳

💀 Day 2 of 'Your Ideas, My Problem' and suggested making 'a chick' from a yellow napkin. Simple, right? WRONG.

💀 What emerged from my craft table can only be described as a crime against poultry. It has no soul. And I genuinely considered burying it in the garden.

💀 I pictured creating something adorable. What I actually created can only be described as a small yellow horror that should not exist. I'm sorry, chick. I'm sorry, Ali. I'm sorry to anyone who has to look at this.

☠️ Tune in for Day 3 where I'll be crafting something out of leaflets from Achill Island - and I am BEGGING the universe to let me redeem myself. Low bar, I know.

😶‍🌫️ Day 1 of "what should I make with this" 😶‍🌫️

🌸 So I'm on holiday in Achill, Ireland, and true to form I didn't pack much beyond the essentials...so I figured why not turn that into a bit of a game!

🌸 Every day I'll show you a totally random item I've found lying around in the house (or "borrowed" from somewhere I visit 👀) - and you tell me what to make with it!

⁉️ Today's mystery item: pink sporks and straws (snaffled from Itsu at the airport 🤫).

🌸 No idea what's coming, that's the fun of it!
