Whilst everyone has been away from school this summer lots of work has been happening to enhance the building for everyone. We thought it would be good to give everyone a little taster of some positive changes!

The KS2 girls toilets have been completely refurbished with all new facilities, ceiling heating panels and now look lovely and fresh. Along with the installation of a new heating and plumbing system around the whole school.
We’ll all be lovely and cosy this winter!

Staff have also been in this week getting their new classrooms ready for the start of term, along with the grounds team making the outside space tidy and the cleaning team deep cleaning the whole building. The school is almost ready for term 1 to start!

Enjoy the last few days of the summer break, and we all very much look forward to welcoming you back next week!

We know that returning to school after the summer can bring up a mix of emotions, and some children may feel anxious about the start of the new term.

To help ease any worries, we invite you and your child to a short drop-in visit on Tuesday 1st September from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM.This visit takes place the day before our official return on Wednesday 2nd September.

Since your children already know our school well, this is simply a quiet, low-pressure opportunity for them to:
See their new classroom and familiarise themselves with the setup.
Revisit the school grounds to feel confident before the official start.
Say a quick hello to their teacher in a relaxed, quiet environment.
Ask any little questions they might have about their first day back.

There is no need to book. Please come to the front door of the school, which will be our welcome point for the session. We hope this quick visit helps your child feel reassured and ready for the morning.

The school is now officially closed for the Summer break. We will monitor emails to the admin@ inbox but only for urgent items. The school office will reopen to staff & students on Wednesday 2nd September.

During the summer break, if you have concerns about a child please contact:
· Wiltshire Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) 0300 456 0108 (08:45am-5pm Mon-Thurs) and (8:45am-4pm) Friday
· Emergency Duty Service 0300 456 0100 (5pm - 8.45am)
· If a child is in immediate danger or left alone, you should contact the police or call an ambulance immediately on 999.

Year 6 Leavers Celebration!

What a mixture of emotions during our Year 6 Leavers Celebration this afternoon. The children spent the lunchtime getting their t-shirts signed with various good luck messages from students and staff during a picnic on the school field and then we had the pleasure of inviting all their parents in to see their last presentation.

The children delighted the crowd with singing, funny anecdotes from previous years, their favourite memories and some emotional reflection of their times at Bratton School. Lots of laughter and joy, and a few tissues needed too at points.

Esther, from the Baptist Church, kindly gifted all the children a special bible, and Mrs Burke handed the children gifts and a special yearbook on behalf of the school. The afternoon concluded with a whole school arch and clap goodbye!

It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch these awesome children grow into such kind, funny and talented people, and we can’t wait to hear all about their amazing adventures as they transition into secondary school. They truly are wonderful, and we couldn’t be prouder!

We are super proud of the BPS team, from the senior leadership team, teachers, TA’s, MDSA’s, catering team, wrap around care staff and the office team, and not to forget our wonderful volunteers and governors! ❤️

Bratton School staff in full force again this morning to sing to all the children and families as they arrived at school! Prior to then making a staff arch to welcome the year 6 children into school for the last time! We hope you all enjoyed this morning’s performance!

Wow! What an incredible show of Aladdin our Y6 cast gave everyone!

All the children were incredible with their acting, singing and dancing skills! Every child really brought their character alive and shone - what stars! ⭐️

Congratulations to our Y6s on their opening night show of A-la-la-la-la-laddin. They performed a dress rehearsal to the school this morning before show 1 to parents and families this evening. They were all so fantastic! The show had the audience on the edge of their seats and a few jumps of surprise too! We can’t wait for tomorrow’s performance!
