πΏ Forest Fun πΏ
What a fantastic day of adventure we had in the forest! The children loved splashing in the stream, climbing steep hills, and working together to carefully cross logs. They explored their surroundings with curiosity and enthusiasm, using sticks to measure the depth of the water and comparing their findings.
Along the way, we discovered lots of forest treasures including a holly bush. We talked about the green berries and how they will turn red as we get closer to Christmas. The children were excited to find a blackberry bush, an acorn tree, and many other interesting plants and natural objects during our walk.
The day was full of learning, teamwork, problem-solving, and physical challenges. Most importantly, it was filled with fun, muddy puddles, messy adventures, and lots of smiles! ππ¦π³β¨

Train Ride Adventure π
Following on from the childrenβs interest in transport, including trains, aeroplanes and cars, I took the children on a train ride. They all absolutely loved the experience!
We travelled through a colourful tunnel, waved to people as we passed by, and enjoyed looking out for birds, trees and other sights along the way. The children were excited to talk about the different types of transport they could see and hear.
It was a wonderful opportunity to extend their learning and interests while enjoying a fun and memorable experience together. What a fabulous adventure! πβ¨π³ππ

Our Caterpillar to Butterfly Journey ππ¦
What an exciting few weeks we have had watching our tiny caterpillars go through an incredible transformation! The children have been completely fascinated learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly and eagerly checking on them each day to spot any new changes.
We talked about how caterpillars grow, build their chrysalis and eventually emerge as beautiful butterflies. The children loved sharing their ideas, asking questions and observing the butterflies so carefully.
This hands-on experience has encouraged curiosity, patience and a real appreciation for nature and the world around us πΏβ¨
The biggest excitement of all was finally releasing our butterflies and watching them spread their wings and fly away π¦π

π What a fabulous half term our tots have had! π
What a week of adventures, laughter, learning, and memory-making!
We kicked things off at Edward Bear Club, where we celebrated a special friendβs birthday before enjoying a lovely picnic in the park. The children had a fantastic time taking part in our Big Talk activities, with lots of creative fun including biscuit decorating, turtle decorating, and plenty more hands-on crafts.
With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, the children were delighted to cool off in the paddling pool, splashing, laughing, and enjoying lots of water play with their friends. βοΈπ¦
To finish our half term, we enjoyed a magical trip to the wonderful hanningfield reservoir nature discovery park. The children loved exploring the woodland and searching for the tree carvings of the different story characters. We also became little nature detectives, using our bird identification sheets to spot and learn about the birds around us. π¦π³
The day ended with the children creating their very own bird feeders to take home, helping to encourage wildlife in their gardens and continue their learning beyond the setting.
It has been such a special half term, full of friendship, exploration, creativity, and outdoor adventures. We are so proud of all the children and the enthusiasm they bring to every activity. β€οΈ
Wishing all our families a wonderful half-term break β we canβt wait to hear all about your adventures when we return! π₯°β¨ ππ

We enjoyed a special visit to the care home this week ππ
Jo Jingles showed us some bees and a bee hive, and the children and residents had lots of fun pretending to be bees collecting nectar from the flowers and plants. It was a lovely way to celebrate World Bee Day together and see everyone joining in with the fun.
What a fabulous week of learning, exploring and making special memories together πΌβ¨

We enjoyed a fantastic trip to the zoo earlier in the week π¦©ππ§
The children loved speaking to the zoo keepers, feeling a real flamingo feather and learning lots of interesting facts about the animals. They were fascinated to discover that anteaters have sticky tongues and no teeth because they do not need to chew their food!
We also got up close with the monkeys and penguins, and the children had so much fun exploring and making lots of special memories together π
