Children in each class have been enjoying a wide range of hands-on learning experiences over the last few weeks, from practical maths activities, making fruit salads, exploring our forest school and using this space for role play activities. What will next week bring? See you all tomorrow!

From our mini allotment to a dish: early years had a lovely time today harvesting some of our school-grown vegetables, carefully cutting them and making a delicious soup! Children and staff loved it! 🥬 🥕

What an amazing Great Athletes Day we’ve had as part of our Equality and Diversity week! Sean Gaffney was very inspiring, talking about his life challenges and how he has overcome them with hard work and resilience, to become a champion in his field winning multiple top medals.

🏃‍♀️ Children loved doing the physical challenges with him this afternoon. Even Bailey Bear got involved!

Thank you to our school community for your fundraising efforts. We are overwhelmed by the amount raised which is around £1,400 so far. 🙏🏻

🎃👻 Pumpkin Decorating Competition 2026! 👻🎃

It's time to get spooky and show off your creative skills!

We are excited to launch our annual Pumpkin Decorating Competition, and we can't wait to see your fantastic creations. Whether your pumpkin is spooky, funny, magical or completely unique, we'd love to see it!

🎃 Entry fee: £1 per pumpkin
🎃 Bring entries to school on: Thursday 15th October
🎃 All proceeds will go towards school resources

Our winners will be chosen by:
⭐ School Council
⭐ Miss Jackson
⭐ Our school Facebook community

There will be prizes for our favourite pumpkins, so get decorating and let your imagination run wild! Winners will be announced the following week, giving time for our whole community to get involved.

👻 Carve it, paint it, decorate it, accessorise it... the spookier, the better!

Our Great Athletes event is tomorrow! 🌟 🏃‍♂️ 💪🏽

A final reminder that an elite athlete will be joining us tomorrow for an exciting fitness circuit and inspirational assembly with the children. Watch the short video below with your child/ren for a sneak peek at what they’ll be doing.

Exciting Visit from a Professional Athlete!

We are delighted to announce that Paralympian Sean Gaffney from Great Athletes will be visiting our school on Thursday 1st October. Sean will be talking to the children about his journey as an athlete, sharing what it takes to succeed in sport and the importance of hard work, perseverance and dedication.

Following the talk, the children will take part in a fun sponsored fitness circuit and exercise challenge led by Sean.

The children attended a special assembly yesterday to find out all about our visiting athlete. Today, they will bring home a sponsorship form containing a QR code that can be used to collect sponsorship donations online.

Funds raised will help our school purchase additional sports equipment, supporting physical activity and sporting opportunities for all children. There will also be prizes available for children who raise sponsorship money, making it an exciting opportunity to get involved.

To help children take part comfortably in the activities, all children may come to school wearing their PE kit on Thursday 1st October.
