Green 3 West have recently had a wonderful time celebrating all things Spanish.

They greeted their friends with a cheerful “¡Buenos días!” and enjoyed making and tasting some delicious Spanish-inspired treats - making pintxos (mini tapas on sticks) and yummy churros, which were dipped in chocolate. A taste bud Spanish adventure was enjoyed by all trying olives, dipped bread in olive oil, sampling patatas bravas, frittata and colourful red and green peppers.

Pupils had lots of fun singing “Old MacDonald – Gran Pepito” in Spanish.

What a fantastic time of food, music, language and fun!

Get ready for a week packed with creativity, adventure, discovery and fun as SENDiVERSE Festival celebrates the incredible talents, interests and imaginations of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Bradford and Keighley!

There’s so much to discover this year. Get creative with lantern making, find your rhythm in drumming workshops, express yourself through poetry or dive into a new adventure with sub-aqua sessions. Little ones can join in with dancing and sensory story and play sessions, while budding explorers can get closer to nature through Forest School activities – and that’s just a taste of what’s happening!

SENDiVERSE brings children and young people, families, artists, schools, health and care professionals, and cultural organisations together for a joyful celebration where everyone can take part, try something new and have fun.

Staff Training Spotlight 🌟

A huge thank you to our fantastic Communication Lead, who delivered some excellent training to all of our teachers this week.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to refresh and build on the techniques and strategies we use to support effective communication across school. It was a great chance for staff to revisit practical approaches, share ideas and strengthen our understanding of how we can best support our pupils in their communication and learning.

We’re always looking for ways to develop our practice and ensure our staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a positive difference in the classroom.

Purple 3 had a fantastic time celebrating our themed European Languages Day last week!

The class enjoyed getting creative with lots of colourful painting. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and showing enthusiasm while learning more about the rich diversity of languages and cultures across Europe. A brilliant day of learning, creativity and fun!

Discover how to transform simple stories into rich, memorable experiences that engage your child’s senses and encourages communication and a love of stories. You’ll explore fun and accessible ways to use everyday objects, textures, sounds, music, movement and expressive voices to make stories truly come alive.

This workshop, run by Rachel Roberts one of our amazing Early Years teachers, will give you practical ideas, new confidence and lots of inspiration to create magical storytelling experiences with your child.
