On behalf of our children and staff we would like to welcome you to our page.

We are a small family run business that offers childcare from two sites in Milton Keynes. Our business is owned by Joanne Tierney and John Gadsby. Our setting in Bow Brickhill is managed by Megan Gadsby and Molly Gadsby and our setting in Woburn Sands (Swallowfield Lower school) is managed by Laura Nisbet.

Our setting in Bow Brickhill offers many childcare options, such as breakfast, afterschool and holiday club, as well as a nursery. We also have another site in Woburn Sands which is located on the school site of Swallowfield Lower School. This site is an afterschool club only and only caters for children that attend Swallowfield Lower School.

We aim to always maintain our settings ethos which is ā€œNurture, Encourage, Achieveā€. We strive to achieve this by having a consistent, high quality staff team that are committed to provide a safe, healthy, fun and caring environment.

A child’s journey can start within our Early years nursery setting where they are given a wide variety of rich learning opportunities and experiences both inside and outside. The learning environment is created and developed by our experienced staff who focus on the interests and needs of each individual child.

Children can then continue their journey with us and once they start primary school. They can attend our wrap around care sessions. Where the children can relax, have fun, play and interact in a safe environment. All children are encouraged to have a voice and make suggestions as to what they would like to do.

Our curriculum within our nursery is based around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We aim to use this as a tool, along with high quality teaching from our experienced staff to encourage all our children to develop and thrive with the best possible start to their early education.

Within our breakfast, afterschool and holiday club, we plan our sessions around the children’s ideas, suggestions and interests. We regularly ask for the children’s input to ensure they feel they are valued, and they enjoy the sessions they attend.

I am very honoured to be the setting manager at our Bow Brickhill site. Our staff, children and families work closely together to ensure we create a safe and secure environment within the setting. We always listen to our children, staff and families and take their views and opinions into consideration and base our care around their needs.

We ensure our values are followed by all families, children and staff and have high expectations of behaviour across all our settings.

At Little Stars, we value every single child as an individual. We ensure that we make every child, family and staff member feel included and that their values and beliefs are respected. We ensure we cater for all their individual needs, so each child has the opportunity to flourish and succeed.

Safeguarding and Child protection is of the highest importance within Little Stars. We ensure our setting has a clear understanding to enable our setting to support and keep all of our children and families safe.

We look forward to meeting any new families that may want to join our Little Stars family.
