π Inspiring future healthcare professionals at Health Sciences University
Last week, we welcomed Year 12 students from widening participation backgrounds to our Allied Health Professions Work Experience Week.
Over four days, students explored a range of healthcare careers through hands-on experiences in podiatry, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics and radiography, while experiencing university life and working alongside our academic teams.
The week culminated in a Dragon's Den-style challenge, where teams presented innovative ideas to a panel of academics and senior staff before celebrating their achievements together.
Thank you to our widening participation team, student ambassadors and colleagues who helped make the week such a success, and congratulations to all the students who took part. We look forward to seeing where your journeys take you next. π

From Northern Canada π to Bournemouth
Madison Wolfe moved to the UK to study Chiropractic at Health Sciences University after discovering his passion for helping people manage pain and improve their quality of life.
One of the reasons Madison chose HSU was its evidence-based approach to chiropractic education, alongside the opportunity for hands-on clinical experience from the start.
Now in his first year, he is already involved across the HSU community, working at the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre and supporting students as a Year Rep and Student Ambassador.
βKnowing I could ease pain and improve someoneβs quality of life as a career made me know chiropractic was the right fit for me.β
