Join our PVT meeting this Wednesday 2 October 5.30pm - 6.30pm.
Whether you join in with every half-term meeting, or you come on a more ad-hoc basis we would love to have some new parents on the team.

Don't forget it's our Academy Open Evening TOMORROW! Doors open at 6pm, with Principal talks at 6.15pm and 7.15pm. Academy tours and refreshments will be served throughout the evening.

SHIFT Dance is a new afterschool dance & wellbeing club for year 7-9s led by Pavilion Dance in partnership with our school. With workshops being led by a dance teacher and wellbeing practitioner, it's a feel-good way for your child to have fun, meet friends, learn new moves and boost their mood.

Delighted to have Dan Edwards joining The Bourne Academy in September, Mr Edwards joins us from Elm Academy and will be our new Head of Year 7. He looks forward to welcoming our new Year 7’s on their first day on Wednesday 4 September.

Thank you to all our new parents who attended Transition Evening last night and for all your support in ensuring our new students are well equipped as they start this new chapter with us. We hope your child enjoyed their time with us today and we look forward to seeing them again in September.

Well done to the Year 6 students who attended Transition Day today, we were very impressed with how well you all did, you demonstrated many of our ASPIRE qualities and we cannot wait to welcome you in September!

TRANSITION DAY 2024
Delighted to welcome 180 Year 6 students into the academy today for their first taste of life at The Bourne Academy.

The transition to Secondary school can sometimes be quite unsettling for young people.

If you are living in Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch and have a child moving up to secondary school this year there are two free one hour webinars being provided by the Mental Health Support Team in Schools.
