What a fantastic year it’s been at St Luke’s! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our school community this year. Your support, kindness, and enthusiasm have made it a truly special year.

To our amazing Year 6 children, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your next adventure. We are so proud of all you have achieved and know you’ll go on to do wonderful things.

We wish all of our families a safe, happy, and relaxing summer break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September!

What a wonderful way to end the school year! Who would have thought that, after so little rain, our new wildflower meadow would be so successful. The bees and butterflies are very happy 🙂

⚡ Who has the steadiest hand in the school? ⚡

Our Year 4 children put their focus to the test! They got to try out the brilliant electronic buzz games that Year 5 designed and built in their Design and Technology lessons. 🛠️💡

There were plenty of concentration faces, a few sudden BUZZES, and tons of shared learning between the year groups. It was fantastic to see Year 5 proudly showcasing their hard work, and Year 4 taking on the challenge so enthusiastically!

🎉 Huge news from the OPAL project! 🎉

Our brand new sandpit officially opened today, and it is already a massive hit! 🏖️ The children wasted no time diving straight in, working together, and putting their engineering skills to the test. The mission of the day? Digging as deep as they possibly could to see if they could find the bottom of the pit! 🕵️‍♂️💪

It is wonderful to see so much joyful, child-led outdoor play happening. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this new play space to life!

📮☀️ Special Delivery from Reception! 💌

Our wonderful Year R children made the most of the gorgeous sunshine recently with a lovely walk to Sway Post Office! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🕶️

They had been working so hard writing special letters to their friends and family, and it was finally time to send them on their way. The children absolutely loved walking in the warm sunshine and getting their letters stamped.

🧁 Scones, jam, cream, and a massive side of GRATITUDE! 🍓

Today, we hosted a special cream tea to celebrate and say a huge thank you to our absolutely incredible volunteers. St Luke’s simply wouldn't be the same without the amazing people who selflessly give their time to support our school and our children.

We are so grateful for everything you do, including:

🗺️ Bee-Bot Adventures in Year 2! 🤖

Our brilliant Year 2 children have been busy blending geography and coding! First, they designed and drew their own amazing maps on sugar paper. Then, they wrote step-by-step algorithms to guide their Bee-Bots from start to finish.

When things didn't go quite to plan, they didn't give up—they put on their programmer hats and debugged their code to fix any mistakes along the way! 💻✨

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person to join our friendly village school team in the New Forest.

The Role: Senior Administrative Assistant + supervising creative outdoor play (OPAL).

Hours: 37 hours/week (40 weeks/year).

Salary: £25,186 - £26,244 pro rata (£13.05 - £13.60/hr).

Key Requirements: Previous school or senior admin experience, strong IT skills, and GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4+).

Look at these absolute masterpieces! For Golden Time, our creative superstars dive-bombed into the art supplies and used stamping foil to create the most incredible, textured butterflies and dragonflies! 🎨💥

The way the foil catches the light is stunning, and the textures are just beautiful. Our artists had a blast embossing and stamping these shining beauties.

☀️ WOW, what a scorcher! 🥵🔥

Just when we thought we couldn’t handle the heat, our absolute SUPERHEROES on the FOSLSS team saved the day! 🙌💥 They were out in full force after school serving up the ultimate cooldown: ICE LOLLIES! 🍦😎

The queues were buzzing, the smiles were huge, and those lollies vanished in record time! 🚀 A massive, roaring THANK YOU to the incredible FOSLSS crew for bringing the ultimate summer vibes today! 🥳✨
