A massive thank you to Pennyfarthing Homes for their incredibly kind donation of a 3-metre pipe for our outdoor play area! ππ¨
Not only did they donate the pipe, but they also delivered it and helped us move some soil to get it into place. This is going to be transformed into an amazing tunnel for the children to crawl through and play in.
Next steps: We will be covering it with soil, and the ultimate plan is to add a slide on top! ποΈπ
We are so grateful for local community support like this. Thank you, Pennyfarthing Homes! πβ€οΈ

This week, Year 3 had great fun practising how to write dialogue correctly using inverted commas. Before writing their dialogue, they teamed up in pairs and used their own lollipop stick characters to role play conversations about a day out at the beach. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm as Year 3 combined play with learning!

π From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies! π¦

Year 1 have been channeling their inner Jackson Po***ck! Instead of paintbrushes, our young artists used paint, marbles, and a whole lot of energy to create these incredible abstract masterpieces.
By tilting boxes and rolling the paint-covered marbles across the paper, they explored "action painting" and created some truly unique, energetic art.
Watch out, Tate Modernβwe have some future art superstars in Year 1!

This week, the Eco-Warriors led worships, raising awareness of the importance of bees. To help bees and other pollinating insects, we now have a brand new area prepared for a wildflower meadow. During the week, all classes have been sowing seeds. We can't wait to see the results!

As part of our Outdoor Classroom Community Day, Year 2 took their learning into the fresh air for a brilliant morning of Reading, Writing, and Spelling.
The children traded desks for the school grounds, using nature to inspire their creative writing, practicing their phonics under the trees, and sharing stories in our outdoor reading circles. Itβs amazing how a little fresh air can spark so much big imagination!
A huge thank you to everyone who helps make our outdoor learning spaces so special.
