An event being run by Townsend Church in the holidays!

We were very lucky to welcome a professional cricket coach from the Chance to Shine programme into school, who led exciting sessions for our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils. The children had a great time developing their skills and confidence, learning key techniques such as batting, bowling and fielding. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and teamwork on display, and the sessions have inspired many pupils to take a greater interest in cricket 🏏

Ten of our year 5 girls attended a football leadership event on the 18th of March at The Bourne Academy. Three of the ladies from the afcbwomen were there to inspire the girls to enjoy the afternoon activities and then plan how to encourage more girls to play football back at our school. The girls had a brilliant afternoon, playing on the target machine from ftylab_ and being coached by dna_girlsfootball, alongside other activities run by the Leaders from Bourne Academy.

🎨Today, the children who won the art competition “What Bournemouth Means to You” took part in an art workshop where they learned how to create silhouette paintings of our local area. Each child also received a brand-new set of paintbrushes and a watercolour palette to keep. Congratulations and well done to all the winners! 🎨
