I had THE most glorrrious sea dip this morning. I got down to the beach just after 6.30am and it was LUSH!đđź Iâm now sat at Durley Chine recovering from another 5K in the heat, doing a bit of âpeople watchingâ and generally soaking up the sunshine and the holiday vibe. Ahhhhhh... BLISSTO! â¤ď¸

Life really is as simple or as complicated as we make it. Too often we âput upâ with stuff that doesnât make us feel good because we donât believe we deserve any better. Luckily there is a part of you, (often referred to as your âhigher selfâ) that only ever has your best interests at heart. Itâs like your very own happiness SatNav. All you need to do is âtune inâ. It is also known as INTUITION, which is really just another way of saying, tuition from within.
However, many of us seem to have forgotten how to use it. Unlike a traditional SatNav system that barks directions at you, this one is much quieter and more gentle so to âhearâ it, requires getting quiet. One of the easiest ways to work with this inner intelligence is to notice how you feel when you think about something, be it a person, a place or a thing. Does it feel LIGHT or does it feel heavy? If it feels light then itâs quite likely going to bring you joy and happiness but if it feels heavy then it probably wonât.
The key to a happy life is doing more of what you love and less of what you donât. Of course thereâs always going to be times when we donât want to do something which may be unavoidable, thatâs life! BUT, the more you focus on the good stuff, the more good stuff comes in and your happiness quotient goes up too. Yay!
So ladies, donât let anyone else ever tell you how you should or shouldnât be living your life. Itâs your gig and itâs time to be the STAR of your show. Why? Because youâre darn well worth it! đ

Even though weâve just been in âlockdownâ for over 3 months and even though I havenât had any particular commitments or obligations work-wise during that time, I STILL keep Sundays totally for me and give myself permission to do whatever I feel like doing. Even if that is absolutely NOTHING! (And often it is.)
We (generally) live in such a fast-paced world where being âbusyâ has become such a socially accepted and almost expected response to the question âhow are you?â that I think many of us can feel guilty if weâre not. I know I do at times and on occasion find myself wracking my brains to try and come up with something that makes it sounds like Iâm busy busy.
And yet it is that preoccupation with âbusynessâ that is our ultimate downfall. Unless we have sufficient time to rest, relax and recharge then we are really no different than the proverbial hamsters on the wheels and both our mental and physical health suffer greatly as a result. (We are after all human BEings, not human doings!)
So ladies, why not give yourself a break this Sunday. Do something that makes you feel good and is just for you. It doesnât have to be anything over the top. It could simply be sitting quietly and reading a book, a soak in a hot bubble bath, a walk in nature, watching a favourite movie, doing some yoga, meditating, cooking, doing a jigsaw puzzle, painting a picture - whatever floats your feel-good boat and makes your soul sing. And most importantly of all, ENJOY EVERY SINGLE DELICIOUS MOMENT OF IT! đ

GRATITUDE. It's a word you see a lot these days. You generally can't go a day without seeing a post on the subject somewhere in the wellness sphere. And for good reason. It's 'the difference that makes the difference'.
I have been familiar with the concept of being grateful for a looooong time now from my early spiritual years studying the work of Louise Hay. However, it wasn't until I got into the work of Dr Joe Dispenza that the penny finally dropped and I really understood why it is soooooo important.
Because EVERYTHING in the Universe is energy, frequency and vibration, if we want to have good things happen in our life, we have to raise our energy, frequency and vibration to match those things. To put it simply, we are like magnets. We draw into life the things, people and situations that match the frequency we are 'putting out'.
And we have all experienced this. You know those days when you bounce out of bed because maybe something exciting is on the horizon and you are feeling particularly good. And you find that you go through the day with ease and grace and everything just 'flows'. And everyone you meet seems to be happy, smiley and super helpful and your day is filled with lots of lovely 'moments'. You know, THOSE days. Well, YOU created all that from the energy you were giving out. And guess what? You can do it again. How? By cultivating an 'attitude of gratitude'.
The reason we focus on the feelings of gratitude and/or appreciation is because we tend to only feel those things AFTER something good has happened. So by tuning into those frequencies and feeling gratitude and appreciation for âno apparent reasonâ puts us in the state of receivership for the good stuff. (And who doesn't want more of that?) The more we are grateful for what we have, the more we have to be grateful for.
And if you are going through a difficult or trying time and maybe this seems challenging, then start small. Start by saying things like "I am grateful for the roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, food on the table. I appreciate my family and friends and all those who love me" and then feeeeel into those positive vibes and linger there for as long as possible. And of course most importantly of all, BELIEVE (and know) that you are WORTHY to RECEIVE. đ

Goooooood morning ladies! Mondayâs âHoly Trinityâ has been performed (meditation, run, sea dip) and this girl is feelinâ FAB! Deciding to get fit in my fifties is loving myself âin actionâ. And knowing that I am doing this just for me and no one else is super empowering.
However, I have to confess, itâs not always easy. I can be one of the worlds laziest people at times and very often I have to go against the âI canât be botheredâ voice in my head or some other self sabotaging thought. BUT, I know, that every time I push through and commit to ME, it is ALWAYS worth it. Just as I am! And just as YOU are. đ
