🎷 NEW – Saturday Evening Jam Session!

We’re adding something extra to our Jazz Improvisation Weekend with Simon Allen next October…

After Saturday’s workshop, we’ll be getting the instruments back out for an informal evening jam session.

It’s a chance to put some of the ideas from the day into practice, play together, try things out and simply enjoy making music in a relaxed setting.

No pressure and no performance expectations — just a chance to play, listen, experiment and have some fun together. 🎶

📅 16–17 October 2027
đź“Ť Coda Music Centre, Christchurch, Dorset

The jam session is included as part of the workshop weekend.

We’re delighted to welcome the incredible Paul Booth to Eastbourne for a full weekend of Funk & Soul!

Paul has performed and recorded with an extraordinary list of artists including Steve Winwood, Incognito, Jamiroquai and many others. Now he’ll be bringing that experience to AB Workshops for two days dedicated to getting right inside the groove.

Expect an immersive weekend of Funk & Soul as we explore rhythm, riffs, articulation, phrasing, feel and the language of Funk & Soul — all in the friendly, supportive atmosphere of an AB Workshops weekend.
