Just to let our community know that we have a drone filming areas of the school site at some point from 14th - 16th August. This is to film the school and all appropriate permissions and safeguards are in place. We are not filming while children are at school as we only require footage of the site.

Uniform Update. We wanted to say a big well done to all the children and staff for managing so well in the heat this week. The temperatures look like they are expected to go down next week. As a result we would like the children to return to their normal summer uniform (School summer dress/ shorts and polo shirts). If children don't have a pair of school grey shorts then they may continue to wear PE shorts for comfort.

Don't forget it is Break the Rules day on Monday!! Uniform requirements will start back on Tuesday.

We still have a large number of children who come to school every day without a hat. Each class has a small supply of spare hats. The average burn time at this time of the year is within minutes without suncream. Please ensure that children have a sun hat and water bottle every day.

This morning, we held our main transition session across the school. Children spent the morning with their new teacher in their new classroom. There has been lots of Art and social activities happening across the school.

Over the past few weeks, the children have been spending some reading sessions with their new teacher to make their journey into the next class less daunting.

🏏✨ Elite Sports Academy Cricket Development Day ✨🏏
A fantastic day of learning, development, and fun at our Elite Cricket Development Day!
Our young cricketers worked hard on developing new skills, improving their technique, and building confidence both on and off the field. The commitment, enthusiasm, and talent on display were outstanding.
These players are truly the stars of the future 🌟 and it's exciting to see their passion for the game grow with every session.
A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to the coaches and supporters who continue to inspire the next generation of cricketers.

Developing PE and Sport is a key part of our curriculum. We aim for every child to represent the school in a sport of their choice over their time at Morton. If you would like to visit and see what we have on offer please contact us at [email protected]

🌟 Year 1 & Year 2 Visit to Lincoln Zoo 🐒
What a fantastic day our Year 1 and Year 2 children had on their trip to Lincoln Zoo! From the moment we arrived, the excitement was clear as the children explored and discovered a wide range of amazing animals. 🐾
The pupils loved seeing their favourite animals up close, including meerkats, monkeys, otters and more. It was wonderful to watch their curiosity grow as they asked thoughtful questions and learned new facts about different species and their habitats. 🐍🐢
The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of memorable moments. The children showed excellent behaviour throughout and represented the school brilliantly—well done everyone! 👏
A big thank you to our staff and volunteers for helping make the trip such a success, despite the heat!💙

Our Otter Class children had a fantastic day in Lincoln taking part in hands on Roman historical investigation. They took part in an archaeological dig, handled real artefacts and even experienced what life was like in the Roman Army! It was a fantastic opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of the past and bring history to life. Well done, Otters!

Year 3 Otter Class had a fantastic visit to Grimsthorpe Castle this week as part of a special celebration of the architect Sir John Vanbrugh, marking 300 years since his death. Vanbrugh was responsible for designing many stately homes across the country, including the magnificent Grimsthorpe Castle.
The children were transported back to Georgian times with a fascinating tour of the house, took part in an architectural shape hunt around the grounds, and created some truly amazing stately home–inspired headwear. They also enjoyed some well-deserved time exploring the adventure playground!
To make the day even more special, we were delighted to share this experience with our friends from Edenham C of E Primary School Ruskington Chestnut Street C of E Primary Academy Branston C of E Infant Academy LAAT Horbling Browns C of E Primary School
This wonderful opportunity was provided free of charge, thanks to our Hub 2 schools working together with the event organisers—something we are incredibly grateful for.
All our schools are part of Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust which provides us with strength and support by working together. Our motto cannot better be expressed by visits like this for 120 children across 5 schools.
