Year 1 enjoyed their Road Safety workshop this afternoon focusing on walking safely. The children learnt to Stop, Look, Listen and Think when getting ready to cross the road and they were excellent when they practised this! Well done Year 1. 👏

☀️ Summer Uniform Update – Week Commencing Monday 22nd June 2026 ☀️

Due to the Amber Weather Warning, pupils may come to school in their PE kit this week.

Please ensure that children attend school in school PE uniform only and not in any non-uniform clothing.

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable in the hot weather, please make sure your child:
✅Brings a hat to school every day
✅May bring sunglasses (at their own risk – the school cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage)
✅ Has suncream applied before school
✅ Brings a named suncream for reapplication during the day and understands it must not be shared with friends
💧 Brings a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day

This promises to be a memorable experience, giving your child the opportunity to share their creativity with you — something we know they will be immensely proud and excited to do!

You will also have the chance to purchase your child’s framed artwork as a treasured keepsake or a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one. Additional framed copies of your child’s artwork can also be ordered, either in advance or on the day of the exhibition.

Year 1 had a fantastic time on their trip to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.

The children showed they could already remember lots about life in the Victorian times. They discovered more about what homes and shops in the Victorian times were like, experienced a Victorian classroom, handled lots of Victorian objects and toys and planted their own lettuce seeds. What a busy day!

We can't wait to see you tomorrow for our book fair.
