Follow Your Wellies

Here at 'Follow Your Wellies' we want to encourage you to do just that - put on your boots and join your child on an adventure! Just £4 per child.

Follow Your Wellies is a toddler group with a difference. Created by a highly experienced and qualified Nursery Nurse, the group meets on Monday and Thursday mornings during term time in various different locations around Frensham and Hindhead. Each session takes place solely outside in all weathers and consists of a short walk (at toddler pace!) with a pre-planned (but optional) activity. The act

ivities range from looking for signs of the changing seasons to collecting things to compare or use for a craft. We then stop for a rest and have a biscuit and a drink before heading back to the car. Each session is £3 per child and bookable in advance.

Hi Wellies! Due to the current global situation, I’m planning on posting regular outdoor activities that you can do with your family over the summer months. These will either be ideas for home or activities for family walks. I’m still at work this week as a school key worker but will aim to post regularly over the school holidays. Due to the unsettled environment lately, I’m questioning my decision to relaunch Wellies over the next few weeks. I would really appreciate your thoughts on whether or not you would all be comfortable to meet. I’m happy to postpone until the situation is clearer but if you would all still like to go ahead then I will plan a few low key walks as promised. Much love as always, Wellies 🌳🍀🌸💗

I think with spring on it’s way, it’s time to relaunch ‘Follow Your Wellies’. With that thought in mind, we’re looking for a new group leader, someone with early years training who has a passion for the outdoors and free time to lead groups of preschoolers and their parents a couple of times a week. Hi Welly Followers!

So the first week of the new academic year is finally upon us and those long, lazy days of Summer are over. For many of your little ones this will be their first experience of ‘Big School’ and I’m sure there is a mixture of excitement and nerves going on for all! ☺️😬

Luckily the weather looks set to stay fine for a few weeks yet, so still plenty of time to enjoy some dry outdoor fun before we have to reach for the Wellies and waterproofs! 🌲🌞🌳

As we will no longer be running regular Welly Walks, I’ve decided to use the page more as a blog and community page for the time being. I’ll be sharing weekly activities for you to enjoy and if you would like to use the page to arrange your own catch ups then please feel free! You can either post direct to page or send me a message and I can post on the wall for you 😊

Looking forward to the next chapter of the Wellies Adventure! Remember to look out for school holiday events too 👌🏼

Hi All! I would just like to say a huge heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our lovely Welly Followers who have joined us on our many adventures over the past 6 years. I’m super grateful to the lovely Ellie for doing such an amazing job of keeping my little vision alive for the past few years and wish her every luck with her cake business.
This certainly won’t be the end of Wellies.... I will keep the page going with blog posts and activities for you guys and will also put on some school holiday events if you’re keen?

I'm sorry to say folks but I have decided to hang up my wellies and stop doing Follow Your Wellies. 😕
I am getting increasingly busy with my new business Crabtree Bakes and it's my last year with this little chap, and as he never gets to decide what we do, Fridays are going to be Mummy and Fin day, where he gets to choose our day. (I may live to regret that! 🤦🏻‍♀️)
I've had a great time welly walking with you all and really hope it's given you and your little ones a love of nature.
All my thanks to Lucie and to all my lovely regulars over the years.
Keep on getting out there and breathing in that fresh air with your littlies and don't forget the biscuits! 😊

Not that many photos today, I was too busy having a cuddle with one of my wellies regulars new bubba. 👶 lots of fab rock decorating going on today at Kinglsey Common, despite the heat!

We made some fab dens in the shade of the woods at Ludshott Common this morning. Come and join us at Kingsley Common next Friday where we will be painting some pebbles. 😊

DEN BUILDING ON FRIDAY 27TH JULY.
If it looks like the weather will be too stormy or wet for this event, I will cancel it as I don't want you driving in flooding roads. I will make a decision at 9am. Hope that's ok! Thanks xx

Loads of lizards down at Elstead Boardwalk today. Wasn't very hopeful when we started as it was quite cloudy but the were soon out basking in the sun along with the dragonflies.😊
