We’re looking for a passionate and confident student to step forward, represent the student community and help make a positive difference across OLC.

As Student President, you’ll have the opportunity to champion the student voice, work alongside staff and Student Ambassadors, support events and initiatives, and advocate for the needs and experiences of your fellow students.

If you’re a current OLC student with strong communication and leadership skills and a passion for improving the student experience, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re continuing our countdown to the OLCEC’26 International Education Conference on 17 November 2026 with a closer look at the third of our four conference streams. 🎓

Stream 3: Collaborative Educational Practices: By Adopting Student-Centric Leadership

This stream puts the student experience at the centre of the conversation, exploring how collaborative and inclusive approaches can help shape more engaging and effective learning environments.

Topics will include student-centred leadership, collaborative teaching, curriculum innovation, learner agency and co-created learning as its highlighting the importance of working together to enhance education.

There’s still one more stream to come! Keep an eye on our socials as we introduce Stream 4 and continue the countdown to OLCEC’26.

We were delighted to welcome Suzanne Lockwood from Young Enterprise to our Oldham Campus to launch the Start-Up Competition with our students.

During the session, Suzanne introduced our students to the competition and shared her passion for enterprise, encouraging them to think creatively, explore their ideas and discover what goes into building something of their own.

It’s a great opportunity for our students to build confidence, strengthen their teamwork and business skills, and gain valuable experience that goes beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to Suzanne and Young Enterprise for visiting us and inspiring our students as they begin their start-up journey. We’re excited to see the ideas they bring to life! 💙

Last week, our OLC community came together across our campuses for our Macmillan Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, and we’re delighted to share that we raised a total of £96.17 for ! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, brought in delicious treats and helped make our Coffee Mornings so special. Every contribution helped us raise funds to support the incredible work Macmillan does for people living with cancer and their families. 💚

It was wonderful to see our students and staff come together, enjoy some coffee and cake, and support such an important cause.
