What actually happens on a practical phlebotomy training day? 🩸

If you're considering training in phlebotomy, you might be wondering what the practical day actually involves.
Before attending, you'll complete your theory learning so that when you arrive, we can focus on putting that knowledge into practice.

During your practical training you'll cover:
🩸 Equipment preparation & order of draw
🩸 Vein identification and selection
🩸 Patient preparation and safety
🩸 Practical venepuncture technique
🩸 Supervised hands-on practice
🩸 Developing confidence

Our practical training is designed to give you the opportunity to actually practise the skills you've learned, with guidance and support throughout the day.

No previous phlebotomy experience? That's absolutely fine. Our training is suitable for beginners as well as healthcare professionals looking to develop their skills.
