Heaton Park Childminding

Also this week I am proud to announce that I am now a qualified Home Start Volunteer.
Excited to use all my experiences to help others - 23 years as a mummy, host family for children from Belarus, fostering & 12 years as a childminder.

This week,
Tuesday - Mcr library story time session & build a bear to make a bear for a special little boys birthday 🥰
Wednesday - Heaton Park toddler group AM & the afternoon at home:
Thursday - we held a birthday party for a little boy who was 2 on Friday 🎂
Friday - quiet day (preparing ourselves for half term!) Angele’s house for a play date, lunch & a visit to the fields to enjoy the sun. X

Friday 15th Angele & I took the children to Lancaster Farm on the train.
Such a lovely little farm.
A fantastic day was had by all!

I can’t believe I haven’t posted for a full half a term! Catching up would be impossible, we have done so much!
Firstly, after loosing 2 little ones last term (1 relocated & 1 started pre school) we welcomed a new friend to our setting - she is the perfect fit 😍
Over the last 5 weeks we have, been to toddler groups, Angele’s Allotment & house for play dates, Heaton Park, Clifton Park, The Hive @ Moss Bank Park, Legoland, Funtastics, Libraries (mcr & Bury) a special event on the ELR & also Lancaster Farm. We have driven, caught trams, buses & trains.
We have also had lots of time at home to play in my revamped play room (it was done over Easter).

Friday 27th - we stayed in, exhausted 😂

Friday 17th, yesterday, officially Miss C’s last ‘real’ day with me before she moves to pre school for the last term.
Very special treat day - GULLIVERS WORLD!
It was amazing.
A day filled with laughter & fun.
I hate saying good bye - but, this isn’t, this is ‘see you soon’ 🥰
She is back in May half term & I am sure I will see her before then. X

On Thursday I welcomed back the 2 big kids (now age 5) who left me in September to start reception class 🥰
We had a lovely day at Applejacks.
All the favourites, jumping pillow, tractor ride, zip lines, play grounds, ice cream - even a visit from K Pop demon hunters!

I returned to work after Easter holiday last Wednesday. During my holidays I had the play room decorated & a much needed sort out, all nice & fresh now for the new term. I also visited Rome for the first time - loved it!
On Wednesday we stayed in, all day (I had 2 very tired little girls). Was nice to be back in my new room.

12 years ago today I opened my door as a childminder!
I only had 1 little girl for the first few months (who is now 13) then another, then another - most of them are still in touch with me which i absolutely love!
I feel very proud to be part of these children’s journey, to have played a part in the amazing children which they have all become.
Thank you to all the lovely families that trusted me to care for the most precious thing in the world - your babies - & also all the other amazing childminders/friends for making this job so much fun!
