Subject: Maths Exam Board Change – Year 11 Practice (OCR)

Last week, Westhougthon High School informed parents that there has been a change to the Maths exam board: from Edexcel to OCR, starting this year.
It’s important that all students—especially Year 11—begin to familiarise themselves with the layout and question style of OCR Maths. The questions may feel different from those students have practiced in previous assessments and mocks.

A key part of preparing is regular practice using OCR-style questions. The link below takes you to Maths Genie, where there is a bank of OCR Maths questions organised by topic.

Please encourage students to use this regularly to practice the topic they are revising each week, so their mocks exams will not be alien to them in November.

Practise OCR GCSE Maths exam questions topic by topic on MathsGenie: question booklets, mark schemes, and worked solutions for every topic in the course.
