Ladybird Holiday Club is excited to be delivering FREE Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) sessions as part of Newcastle’s Best Holiday Ever 2026!

If your child is aged 5 - 10 years and is eligible for the HAF programme, they can enjoy action-packed holiday sessions filled with fun, creativity and adventure - all at no cost.
🌟 Every session includes:
🎨 Creative arts and crafts
⚽ Sports, games and outdoor play
🤸 Team challenges and exciting activities
🍽️ A free healthy lunch every day (hot meals available at our Scotswood venue)
😊 A safe, friendly environment where children can learn, play and make new friends

💡Science Week 💡

The children at holiday club this week have become little scientist. We have done the skittle rainbow challenge made volcanos and marshmallows with spagetti structures.

Their favourite activity has defiantly been making our own slime, it has taken all week to perfect re recipe and get our ingredients ratio right. We added a secret ingredient hair conditioner

Our last-day-of-term car wash quickly turned into an epic water fight, and we all had such a good laugh! 😆 The cars may not have gotten as much attention as planned, but the memories we made were definitely worth it.
A huge thank you to everyone for a fantastic term. It's been filled with hard work, fun, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing, and well-deserved summer holiday. 🌞🍦🏖️

Butterflies had a lovely morning exploring in the sensory garden. We dug for treasure in the stones, counting how many scoops it took to fill our buckets.

We got to work fixing the fences and equipment using lots of different tools. We also practiced our balancing skills as we walked along the crates.

Busy Bee's had a wonderful time exploring colour mixing.

They used a variety of colours mixed with white to explore colour changing from dark to light. The children wereable to develop their fine motor skills by using a spoon as a spatting tool onto of the bubble wrap to combine the colours.

This also helped explore their hand-eye coordination skills. Some children explored the sensory side of this a activity using their hands to pop the bubble wrap, splitting and mixing colours further.
