BIG NEWS - BYCC is becoming The Hive NE! 🐝

From 1st September, Blaydon Youth & Community Centre will officially change its name to The Hive NE.

BYCC began as an organisation rooted in one community centre, but our work has grown significantly. We now deliver an expanding range of support, activities, and opportunities across different venues and communities - we are no longer defined or confined by a single building.

The Hive NE better represents who we are today and where we are heading: a growing network of people, places, activities, and support working together to strengthen our communities.

Although our name is changing, our commitment is not. We will continue supporting local children, young people, families, and the wider community, and our centre on Shibdon Road will remain an important base for our work.

You’ll start to see The Hive NE name and branding appearing from 1st September. We’re excited about this next chapter and hope you’ll continue to follow and support us as our work grows.
