Jazz with Rick Live, a course run by LSG Bryanston faculty member Rick O'Connor, returns to Suzuki Hub on 4-5 April 10am-4pm. This is an immersive workshop designed to bring out the creative side of your playing - an intimate class with only 12 places available. Students will work on developing their own improvisation skills with four Jazz Manouche standards within the small focused masterclass over 2 days. Special performance opportunity for LSG piano students: The deadline to register for the LSG Piano Chamber Concerts to be held 11 June at St Mary's Church in Primrose Hill in London is this Sunday 7 May! Parents of piano students, ask your teachers to register your child(ren) by the deadline by contacting Christine Magasiner on [email protected]. Teachers please register your students. This beautiful event gives children the opportunity to play their piano pieces in a beautiful acoustic accompanied by an orchestra of teachers. Repertoire list is in this post.

The LSG is seeking applications from Suzuki teachers interested in becoming the next director of the Suzuki in Schools Initiative (SuSI). Kate Conway conceived of and founded this program in 2004, to bring the beauty and effectiveness of the Suzuki method to state school students, and to provide Suzuki teachers work for good pay during the school day. Friends & Supporters of the London Suzuki Group and LSG International Summer School at Bryanston,

The LSG International Summer School at Bryanston 2021 is going ahead with mainly UK students and at a substantial loss.

Due to travel restrictions, the majority of our International friends are unable to come.
The Bryanston Team, with the backing of the LSG Trustees, were determined the course should take place to reaffirm the power of music and friendship in this exquisite setting. Everybody has worked extremely hard to put everything together and we are very much looking forward to a week of music-making. The vagaries of Covid, however, have proved unpredictable. With only 30% uptake this summer, we need your help.

If you feel able to, do please consider making a donation. No amount is too small. Whatever you give will help us support the International Summer School in the future. Through the years thousands of children have benefitted from the excellent teaching, the chamber music opportunities and the solo platforms that the summer school offer as well as the greatest gift of all, making music with friends and making friends through music.
