Just a reminder that the The Blackpool Sixth Form College 'Futures' team is hosting an event for any former Blackpool Sixth students, who do not have next steps in place yet, or looking to change paths.

🔹 Fleetwood Youth Hub (Support those LEET* in Fleetwood and Wyre areas)
🔹 B&FC Apprenticeship advisors (Support with advice around apprenticeships)
🔹 LFRS King's Trust (Support around employability programme)
🔹 DWP/Job centre (Support with CV building & finding jobs, plus advice about apprenticeships in the Civil service)
🔹 University of Lancashire (Support with clearing, deferred places, degree apprenticeships and uni options for 2026/2027)
🔹 Positive Futures (Generalised employment support for anyone in or out of work)
🔹 Learning Curve Group (Supports those looking at military pathways)

What a great day for our uppers last day at The Blackpool Sixth Form College 🫶

It was a bitter sweet day. 2 years of ups, downs, tears, laughter, "what now's?" and "You've got this"

And we were there at the end to remind them, they're not on their own. They still have 12 months of 1:1 career support....

Yes, face to face advice and guidance for another whole year, PLUS access to our LinkedIn alumni network.

I'm super proud of our year 13's. They were my first cohort at this college and it has been a pleasure to support them 🫂

Thanks to Laura from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for her help today with CV's and next steps 💜

I'm excited to see their next steps and welcome them back with open arms as aluminium, supporting the next generation 👏🏻

Some brilliant feedback from our recent health and social care work placements. Parents/guardians - work experience and work placements make a difference to young people’s perspective on their future choices!

If your student is interested in work experience but doesn’t know how to access it, there is support from our Work Placement Officer, Amy as well as plenty of resources online. Contact the team on [email protected] for more bespoke advice
