Here are just a few memories we captured of proud Prestonians story mixing and making at Encounter Festival held last weekend. Kids, parents and grandparents all joined in, from father and daughter duos to complete newcomers trying out story making for the first time. We even met locals who already had story jars and wanted to try more of the range! And that's all without mentioning the animatronic spider, the noisy bookshelves and the best jacket potatoes in the city! The day was topped off with a torchlight procession and a fantastic firework display. We're so proud to be a Preston business. Thank you for having us Preston. 💫💜✨

Autumn is here, which gives us all the perfect excuse to create some beautiful story illustrations. Bring the kids down to Preston Flag Market this Saturday between 12 noon and 5pm to make a magical story together. You'll create your character using local leaves we've foraged especially for you, and we'll give you plenty of story setting and plot inspiration, along with a sprinkling of magic dust courtesy of Magical Story Jars. ✨

It's completely free and perfect for primary school aged kids. No booking needed. Just drop in any time between 12 noon and 5pm with your imagination. 🍁✨📖✏️

We have exciting news! Magical Story Jars is proud to be joining Encounter Festival, right here in our hometown of Preston, on Saturday 19 September! The line up is looking amazing so far, with the giant Arachnobot spider and the brilliant Noisy Noise Noise interactive sound library looking promising, plus the Torchlight Procession and firework display to end the evening. More details on what we're up to are coming soon, so if you’re local to Preston or the North West, save the date for a full day of family fun! ✨🎆🌟

Good luck to all the kids getting their GCSE results tomorrow. Remember, creativity, kindness and imagination don’t come with a grade. That’s why we’re proud of every single one of you. 💫🫶✨
