Thornton Ladies’ Club: Wednesday 20th September 2017
Established in 2008 and held every third Wednesday in the month (except August), TLC gives ladies of all ages the opportunity to meet, socialise, network and make friends.
We pride ourselves on the ability to work together to make events happen; hands on craft evenings, Christmas and summer social evenings, Quiz evenings, theatre visits, demonstrations and an assortment of interesting speakers throughout the year.
The key theme for all our evenings is to celebrate the contribution that ladies give to our community, all our speakers and presenters are female.
We have charity raffles and regularly donate to worthwhile causes.
To accommodate those with young families, or ladies who don’t return from work until late, we meet informally from 7.30 with refreshments and start the main event of the evening at 8.00.
The meeting lasts one hour and ladies return home, relaxed, refreshed and entertained at 9.00pm.
September’s meeting is a quiz evening – come along and join us for some excitement and fun with a selection of prizes. Cost is £2.00 entry and there is a charity raffle.
For further information please contact Lesley on 01253 851007, email: [email protected] or find us on facebook: TLC Thornton Ladies Club

Thank you to Tara from Blackpool Carers' Centre for joining our TLC monthly meet up last night and providing an inspiring talk about this independent, local charity that works hard to provide comfort and support to unpaid carers who look after family or friends with an illness or disability.
We also raised and donated £100.00 for the charity to support them with their fundraising.

APRIL 19th 2017 : Caring in 2017
We all care at times for people but sometimes the responsibility is greater than we can ever imagine.
In April we have a very special carer coming to TLC to talk about:: her role as a carer, her position as a Carer Champion and someone now employed by the Carers Service. Tara has a lot to tell and is truly an inspiration to us all. She will also have lots of information which will be of use to anyone who cares – young or old. An evening not to be missed.
Meetings continue to be held at St John’s Church hall (nr Stanah School) every 3rd Wednesday of the month, there is usually a charity raffle (£1) and the cost of entrance is £2. Doors open at 7.30 for refreshments, activities / speakers are from 8.00-9.00 so no need to panic if you can’t arrive until 8.00pm.
For more information tel: 01253 851007 or email: [email protected] or follow us on facebook.
