Thank you to everyone that came to share our phonics workshops. The children are making amazing progress in their phonics journeys and it is lovely to be able to share that success with you all🥰

Our Reception class has a lovely time celebrating Mothers Day with their grown ups last week🌸

What a successful first football session we had last week with our sports captain Frankie and our sports leaders Seth and Frankie. They started off practising drills, listening carefully and following instructions before playing their first game. Well done to the red team who were last weeks winners⚽️

Our courageous advocates are focussing on recycling this half term and how we can help to make our world a better place. We were quite shocked at how our rubbish impacts the world and how landfill is taking over our beautiful environment. In our entrance hall there is now a large cardboard recycling box that we are asking parents and children to bring in plastic bottle tops. With these we will be creating something very special for our school. Thank you for your continued support🗑️

During British Science week Y1 had lots of fun making floating rafts and recording how many cubes it could hold before it sank. Most of their first tries sank but we tried again and every raft floated! Some could hold over 20 cubes!🧊

During Science Week, Year 3 carried out a fun investigation to find out if toast always lands butter side down. 🔬🍞 The children loved making predictions and seeing what happened when they tested their ideas.

As part of British science week, Reception conducted an experiment to find out how they could make dirty water clean. They found out that if they used a filter of pebbles and cloth, the water would come out cleaner. We definitely have some young scientists in the making 🧪
