Some of the play areas: the reading area, role play and a music area, small world toys, which I store away later to give more space, I did some toy rotation for storage, the construction area and creative, art area (and board games), doll area and lastly a learning, sensory area. My hometown Wuppertal, not far from cologne (30min on a train), its famous for its 'upside down train or monorail' hanging in the air, used as everyday transport, marly loved it, opening presents from friends and visiting the place where I used to live and park where I played as a child. Now back to work again :)

Autism awareness week, a lot of people struggle and don't know how to cope or have an understanding of the condition. I am doing a walk for the national autistic society this week, a month to raise awareness. I myself have struggled a long time, not knowing what was wrong with me, I am in the process of an assessment for the spectrum of autism. I feel more relieved now knowing what it is and how to cope, like I can't cope with too much, I get certain ticks, I need lists. I also enjoy working with children, adults who are autistic, more severe, I loved working at a specialist school, they love coming up to me. I want to make them feel safe. It isn't just something people make up, there are ways to help children and adults to deal with behaviour, I would never use it as an excuse not to help them understand right and wrong, they are very intelligent they will understand. I think more awareness and understanding needs to be put out there, being more patient, I needed that when I was younger in school, sadly one teacher I had wasn't very patient with me. Now there is more understanding and knowledge out there. Also for Adhd, ocd etc. I got a just giving page, I can share the link to if you like to donate and support my walk. Thank you
