Coastal Essential Oil Practitioner represents a personal journey; for both myself, and my family. Alike many families, we have a number of – albeit relatively ‘normal’- health conditions, with which we deal daily. Some of these aforementioned conditions, despite their relatively mild symptoms, require somewhat aggressive pharmaceutical intervention. Side effects were of concern, over the counter c
osts were often high and often we had little comprehension as to what we were ingesting or applying to our bodies. Thus, before we resorted to these methods, we sought home remedies – no notable side effects and extraordinarily little in terms of cost. Skin conditions (with which we all suffer) began to improve through bathing in natural products such as salt and oatmeal, Pain was now managed using simple balms and compresses and so we were convinced… I started amassing a body research on how to deal basic ailments, without immediately reaching toward the local pharmacy. Soon enough, my treatment extended to friends (as well as family) who also saw their benefits. I began studying formally in my spare time, rapidly achieving a Diploma in Aromatherapy and many Continuing Education Hours. Now, I continue to further my education in the subject, and I am proud to be a member of the International Association of Therapists and Fully Insured. Complementary Therapies (and more specifically, the use of essential oils) have existed in some shape or form for the past 5000 years. It is only now, with scientific molecular and chemical analysis, we can begin to understand in detail why they are so effective. I would hastily be the first to say, Essential Oils and Complementary Therapies are NOT a replacement for any condition that requires immediate, medical intervention. Complementary Therapies are just that- they can complement standardised treatments and eliminate need for them in lesser circumstances. It is my belief that Complementary Therapy, therefore, should be affordable and available to all. Every treatment produced by myself will be specifically orientated to the client that I am treating, with no pre-made products, Cruelty Free and 100% Organic Unrefined wherever possible. These are not beauty or cosmetic therapies simply designed to smell attractive, these are botanical extracts being harnessed and used to improve wellbeing! (Their fragrances, often a wonderful bonus) I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with all.
