We are so proud of our Moor Park children who took part in the Park centenary celebrations! 🌳🎉

The children represented our school fantastically and delivered a brilliant choral speaking performance. They also had the opportunity to meet some inspiring people, including the Mayor of Blackpool and Sir Bill Beaumont, Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire.

What a special day celebrating Stanley Park, its history and the wonderful community we are lucky to be part of! 💚👏

During our first science topic, Year 5 have been investigating forces and having lots of fun learning through practical experiments! We have used Newton meters to explore gravity, air resistance and friction, developing our scientific enquiry skills along the way.

The children investigated which shoes provided the best grip, measured the effects of gravity, and explored what factors can affect how quickly a parachute falls. It has been fantastic to see everyone working scientifically, making predictions and drawing conclusions from their findings.

Music at Moor Park 🎼

Our Year 2 musicians have been practising call and response rhythm patterns, using different rhythms to represent animals. In pairs, one child performed the ‘call’ before their partner listened carefully and replied with their own contrasting rhythm ‘response’.

It was wonderful to see the children combining careful listening, creativity and musical skills while working together.

🎉 CELEBRATING 75 YEARS AT MOOR PARK – SHARE YOUR MEMORIES! 🎉

In 2027, Moor Park will celebrate its 75th Anniversary, and we want our whole community to help us tell the story of our school.

For three quarters of a century, our school has been at the heart of the community, educating generations of children, supporting families and creating memories that last a lifetime. Now we’re launching our 75th Anniversary Memory Collection to capture some of those special moments and create a lasting record of our school’s history.

🐝 Busy Bees in The Hive! 🐝

The Honey Bees group have been working incredibly hard in The Hive, developing their early writing skills through a range of fun and engaging activities.

We have been exploring different mark-making opportunities, helping learners to build confidence and creativity as they begin to make their marks. Alongside this, the children have been taking part in fine motor activities, such as building with LEGO, to strengthen the muscles in their hands and develop the skills needed for writing.

It has been wonderful to see everyone so focused, engaged and proud of their achievements. Well done, Honey Bees! 🌟✏️📝
