Our Year 6 completed their performances of Gogglebox this afternoon to huge applause. Everyone worked together as a team to create a fantastic show with laughter and some emotional tears too. The staff worked hard to bring the whole performance together. We all hope parents enjoyed the final shows! ❤️🎤🪩

It’s a big week ahead for our year 6 pupils as they spend their last week with us. Here’s a poem for their parents because this is also the start of a huge week for you too. Watching your child grow up happens slowly but incredibly fast at the same time. Make the most of their last week at Lammack ❤️

Some of our children have taken part in two events this week which have built their confidence in many ways. Last night year 4 children took part in Raise the Roof at Blackburn Cathedral with Mrs Clarkson. Singing in such an amazing venue helped them to take their performance to another level. Then today 16 children from across ks2 took part in the Poetry by Heart Celebration at Blackburn Library with Mr Elliott. They performed their poems with confidence and passion!
Both events gave the children the chance to perform in front of an audience and they all rose to the challenge brilliantly! Well done! 🎵🎤

Blackburn Rugby Club are running a 'Rugby Fun Day', free of charge on the 15th July to Lammack children in Years 2 and 3. The session will run 4pm to 5:30pm.

Each child attending will receive a certificate, a club information leaflet & be offered free taster sessions over late July & into August.

What a fantastic Sports Week we have had at school!

Our EYFS and KS1 children enjoyed an action-packed morning carousel of activities, taking part in a wide range of exciting events including Boccia, pétanque, speed bounce, bib tag battle, javelin, assault courses and target throwing. After all of their amazing effort and enthusiasm, everyone cooled down with a well-earned refreshing ice pop!

Meanwhile, our KS2 children showed great teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship during their intra-house competitions in rounders and football. It was wonderful to see such energy, encouragement and house spirit on display.

The afternoons were a real success, with parents, carers and family members joining us to cheer on the children as they competed in traditional Sports Day races, including sprinting, egg and spoon, quoit balancing and hurdle races. The smiles, laughter and encouragement from the sidelines created a truly special atmosphere!

It was a lovely event that brought our whole school community together and celebrated the joy of movement, teamwork and determination.

A huge well done to all of our children for their effort and enthusiasm, to our staff for organising such a wonderful week, and to our parents and families for your continued support. We are so proud of everyone!

Free Summer Football Camps Share with parents

Year 2 had a fantastic day at Brockholes Nature Reserve! The children threw themselves into every activity and had a wonderful time exploring the outdoors. They took part in shelter building, enjoyed pond dipping and created some beautiful environmental art inspired by animals they might see at Brockholes. The wet weather didn't hold the children back. Everyone showed great enthusiasm, resilience and excellent behaviour throughout the day. We were incredibly proud of how they got stuck into every challenge with smiles on their faces and a positive attitude.
