Today, our Year 6's went on a trip to Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery. They took part in the 'Arts Award Discover Day' gaining a special award for their creativity and art skills. The children met artist Cath Ford and got to know her. They then had the opportunity to explore the museum and create an art piece in their log books. These pieces have been sent to London and the children will be receiving a certificate for their final abstract artwork. Take a look at them in action!

Yesterday, our Year 6's visited Turret House for a Transition Prayer Space session. They explored lots of different areas which included activities for them to take part in. They then discussed their transition from primary school into high school, created and performed raps and took part in a movement prayer. It was a beautiful opportunity for them to switch off, relax and take some time for themselves. Take a look at the wonderful activities and Turret House provided!

Lancashire Constabulary
Stay safe Campaign
Young people across Lancashire will soon be spending more time outdoors but open water is never safe, no matter how warm the weather feels.
Cold water shock can overwhelm even strong swimmers in seconds. Reservoirs, rivers and lodges often have hidden currents, sudden drop‑offs and underwater hazards that can’t be seen from the surface.
Please speak to children about staying safe, sticking to supervised swimming only, and looking out for their friends.
A quick conversation in the home could prevent a tragedy. 💙💙💙
