This afternoon our Kaiden went litter picking. He did an amazing job and collected 2 bags full of rubbish.

Surely that deserves an ice lolly afterwards šŸ

Our topic this half term is called King of the Castle. We are learning all about castles, why they were built, who lived in them and all the different parts such as ā€˜arrow slitā€™ ā€˜battlementsā€™ ā€˜moatā€™ ā€˜drawbridgeā€™ and ā€˜towerā€™.

We have had the most amazing start to this half term at The Bridge. Itā€™s harvest time and we can see the results of all our efforts through the year.

The children have been inspired by all the fruits and vegetables that have come through and are excited to cook together around the campfire with themā€¦starting this week with courgette fritters. Even though most said they didnā€™t like courgette, one they had taken part in washing, prepping, mixing and cooking they were open to having a go and were pleasantly surprised.

We are now spending our time clearing and closing down the growing space for Winter, planting spring bulbs and planning our crops for next year which the children are now confident they could now grow and have a plant sale day! I think itā€™s a great idea if people are keen?

Welcome back!!!!!

Today we had our session with Mr Brown our music teacher. We looked at Body Percussion, making music with our bodies.

The children would like to show their grown ups how big our courgettes have grown.
