Weβre going on an Easter egg hunt, weβre going to find lots of them! The children had lots of fun exploring the garden, looking for eggs that the Easter Bunny had left for them!! π°
We looked high and low, under and over, in front and behind things to find our eggs. After lots of fun searching, we enjoyed our eggs with our friends π« π₯

Easter Baking
The Preschoolers have been making Easter treats with Miss Isobel. They listened to instructions, spoke about what they could see, hear, smell and even taste. Some of the children could identify numbers on the microwave too! π’
It was lots of fun and the children loved tasting their yummy treats. π° π₯ π§

The children have enjoyed looking at different flowers and plants we could find in the garden. Following on from this, we extended the activity and bought flowers for the children to paint. π¨π§βπ¨
The children each had their own easel, paint and card and took time to look at the flowers and then back to what they were painting. πΌοΈ
Everyone's creations were absolutely wonderful π

The Toddlers have been helping Miss Marta with gardening duties. π
We spotted some of the bulbs started sprouting in our planters and noticed they needed topping up with soil so we were happy to help them out. π±

Miss Natalie recently brought in a visitor to the Lodge, a snail called Sheldon. π
We spoke about which food Sheldon likes to eat and what he drinks. Some of the children held Sheldon in their hands and used gentle hands to stroke his shell. The children said, "It was heavy", and we also talking about what colours we could see on Sheldon's shell.
Thank you for coming to visit with us Sheldon and also to Miss Natalie for allowing him to come to see the children. π€π©Άπ€
