A little Sunday update from Bright Leaps 📚✨
Our small groups are in full swing, with lots of focused, hands-on learning taking place each week.
Spaces are beginning to fill across our Literacy and Numeracy groups, so if you’ve been thinking about a little extra support for your child, now is a lovely time to get in touch.
Each group is kept small, with a maximum of 4 children, allowing plenty of opportunity to focus on the areas each child needs support with, while also helping them build confidence and feel more secure in their learning.

It’s been lovely welcoming back returning learners and also having some new faces join our group sessions this term.

Back to school week is here! ✏️📚

Wishing all the local children a lovely first week back, especially those starting a brand new school or moving into a new class.💛

My Small Groups - Primary Literacy & Numeracy sessions - at Bright Leaps in Dargavel Village start the week beginning 24th August.

Groups are kept small with a maximum of four children, allowing lots of individual support while building confidence alongside others.

Hi, I’m Zubya, the teacher behind Bright Leaps.

As well as being a Qualified Primary Teacher, I’m also a mum of two, which has given me an even greater appreciation for how every child learns in their own unique way.

Bright Leaps was created to help children build confidence, develop key skills and enjoy learning in a calm, supportive environment.

Whether your child is taking their first steps in reading, becoming more confident with maths, or preparing for the move to high school, our small group sessions provide targeted support in a calm, encouraging environment.

With just 4 children per group, every learner receives personalised attention while building confidence and developing the skills they need to thrive.

A snapshot from a session with a primary 3 learner 📚

These activities focus on phonemes, tricky words and applying these skills when reading, using hands-on tasks to support understanding and confidence.

At this stage, building strong foundations is key. Sessions are calm, supportive and carefully paced, helping children feel comfortable practising new skills and applying them in their reading.

✨While this session focuses on literacy, every learner’s sessions are personalised. Some children come to work on numeracy, others on reading, writing or simply building confidence in an area they find tricky.
