I want to share something I'm genuinely proud of. Over the past couple of months I've spent hundreds of hours building a brand new interactive question generator for AS Maths to go with my AS Further Maths questions — and it's finally ready. Every single question has been written, formatted and crafted by me, Andy Blackett. This is not AI slop. Every skill, every diagram, every (brief) solution has been thought through, coded and tested by hand. I use it at the start of every one of my AS lessons now, and I think you will too.

If you've used my AS Further Maths generator before, this is a huge step up. The new version covers the entire AS Maths specification — every chapter, every skill — alongside the FM Core Pure content you already know. New features include

* a shareable link so you can share or save an exact question set straight into your lesson presentation,
* a specific question selector so you can target exactly the skills you want,
* outline working shown on every card,
* far more diagrams and visualisations than before.

It's free, it runs in any browser (but mobile screens are too small for it to render properly), and it's ready to use in your classroom on Monday. I hope you find it as useful as I do.

Hi everyone, I'm absolutely thrilled to finally share something I've poured a lot of love into and used in my own teaching for years: my Complex Polynomial Visualiser.

Honestly, I think it's really pretty, and I'm fairly sure there's nothing else quite like it out there. What makes it special is how it beautifully transforms – you can go from a 2D plot where brightness and hue represent the modulus and argument of f(z), straight into a gorgeous 3D surface where the height shows the modulus and the hue still captures the argument. It makes that jump from "no real roots" to the complex plane incredibly intuitive and, dare I say, real.

I love this tool, and it's been a staple in my classroom for ages. Now, I'm sharing it so you can all enjoy it as much as I have and hopefully see your students' 'aha!' moments too.

Here’s a peek at what you can explore:

* 3D Modulus Plots: Watch the complex landscape take shape. The roots magically appear precisely where the surface touches the "floor," giving a tangible sense of what a "complex x-intercept" really looks like.
* Domain Colouring: This is where the magic of the argument really shines. The colours represent the argument, so phase behaviour and how things swirl around a root just jump out instantly.
* Interactive Coefficients: Tweak those a to e coefficients and literally watch the entire complex landscape warp and shift in real-time. It’s incredibly powerful for building intuition.
* Automatic Root Finder: It’ll show you the roots clearly, both in their Cartesian and exponential forms.

It’s a brilliant way to visually 'prove':

The Conjugate Root Theorem – the mirror symmetry across the real axis is unmistakable.
The Roots of Unity – seeing those perfect polygons form on the Argand diagram is just satisfying.
Why every degree-n polynomial absolutely has n roots.

It's been great to see some of my friends and colleagues taking an interest in what I have been doing with M4TH5. I apprecaite that for some of you (as baffling as this sounds) maths is not your favourite thing. As a way to thank you, I have written a poem. I hope you enjoy.
