Our nursery children have loved caring for and looking after our butterflies.
We celebrated by releasing the butterflies into their new home outdoors. It was a magical experience filled with excitement, wonder, and lots of smiles! 🌿🦋

FREE Swimming for Under 18s – World Drowning Prevention Day 🏊

This World Drowning Prevention Day (25 July), we're helping young people build confidence in the water and stay safe by offering FREE swimming for County Durham residents aged 18 and under on Saturday 25 July 2026.

✅ Included sessions:
- General Swim
- Fun Sessions (rafts, floats & inflatables)
- Splashability Sessions

📍 Available at: Chester-le-Street, Consett, Freeman's Quay, The Louisa Centre, Newton Aycliffe, Peterlee, Teesdale, Wolsingham and Woodhouse Close Leisure Centres.

Our nursery was taken over by a mischievous crew of pirates who were determined to steal our precious treasure! 💎

The children quickly sprang into action, diving into the “sea” and swimming to a desert island to keep the treasure safe. They showed fantastic teamwork and bravery as they made the pirates walk the plank and splash into the sea! 🌊

To celebrate saving the day, our happy sailors gathered together to sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” with lots of smiles and laughter.

What a fantastic day full of imaginative play, adventure and fun! ⚓🦜

This webinar is suitable for the parents/carers of children aged 7 and over, who are experiencing low level emotional wellbeing difficulties.
