Our new Y7 Boys Team! ⚽️

Almost 50 year 7 boys attended football training on Friday. It was amazing to see so many students taking parts in co-curricular opportunities in their first week at Lord Lawson!

Mr Cumiskey who was supported by Year 11 football captain Alfie A and fellow year 11 students Reece McD, William W & Joseph W worked together to identify a team for our first set of fixtures. It was lovely to see Year 11 students acting as role models for our younger students.

We are thrilled to share the photograph below of our newly formed boys football team.

Opportunities will regularly be offered to students who continue to attend training and display academy values daily.

Our first evening of fixtures will be on 28th September where we face Grace College and Whickham at Grace College School.

Congratulations to all of the students who attended training on Friday, it was a lovely end to an amazing week.

Well done to Year 13 student Will M who has been selected to represent the national team in Karate . William will travel to Serbia in November to compete. We wish him the best of luck.
