Just a quick note to let you know that an ice cream van will be outside school today from 3:15pm at home time.

This is simply to give you advance notice so that, if you wish to purchase an ice cream, you may want to remember to bring your purse, wallet or some cash with you when collecting your child.

We hope you enjoy a little end-of-day treat!

🎉⚽ What a celebration it was! Our children had an absolutely fantastic time coming together to cheer on England as they secured a brilliant victory over Mexico and booked their place in the next stage. The excitement was unforgettable, with cheers, smiles, and plenty of celebrations as everyone shared in the success. A wonderful moment of togetherness and national pride that our children thoroughly enjoyed! 🏆🇬🇧👏

☀️ Heatwave Mode: Activated! ☀️

Not every school goes to quite the same lengths as we do to keep children safe in the sunshine… but here we are, basically running a mini survival camp 😄

Before your child arrives, please make sure they are:

✅ Fully sun-creamed (yes, head-to-toe like a beach day!)
✅ Equipped with their own sun cream for a lunchtime top-up
✅ Carrying their trusty water bottle 💧
✅ Rocking a stylish sun hat 😎

We promise we’re not being dramatic… just doing our best to keep everyone happy, hydrated, and sunburn-free!

And despite the heat, great fun has been had by all – including the staff! ☀️😄

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are writing to inform you that the Summer Fayre and Sports Day, originally scheduled for Wednesday 24th June, has been postponed until next week, the new date will be confirmed tomorrow.

We apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. However, following discussions with both parents and staff, and after carefully considering advice from the DFE, the Local Authority and the Met Office, we believe it would be unsafe to proceed with an outdoor event in the conditions forecast for tomorrow.

An Amber Heat Health Alert has been issued for our area, warning of very high temperatures and highlighting the risks associated with prolonged outdoor activity, particularly for children.
In light of this guidance, we feel it is important to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, families, and staff.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you all on the new date and hope for more favourable conditions.

Attendance Matters – Exciting New Rewards! 🎉

We are delighted to introduce our brand-new attendance reward system, designed to celebrate and encourage excellent school attendance. Coming to school every day is so important, and we want to recognise the fantastic commitment our pupils show!

Here’s what’s new:

🌟 100% Attendance Prize Draw
Pupils who achieve an amazing 100% attendance will be entered into a draw to win a £100 Argos gift card. The winner will be drawn at the end of this term.

🚴 96%+ Attendance Reward
Pupils who reach 96% attendance or above this term will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a brand-new bike and helmet. The winner will also be drawn at the end of this term.

🍦 Weekly Class Reward
Each week, the class with the highest attendance over 96% will enjoy a special visit from the ice-cream van on Friday!

Regular attendance really does matter, and we are so excited to celebrate our pupils’ efforts with these fantastic rewards. Let’s work together to make every day count! 💫

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to inform you that the school photography company will be in school tomorrow morning to take class photographs.

These photographs will be available for families to purchase.

Please ensure that your child comes to school in full uniform.
If your child has PE tomorrow, they should bring their PE kit with them and will be able to change into it after the photographs have been taken.

Children are welcome to come to school wearing something red to join in the fun and show their support.

Don't Forget!

We are celebrating World Book Day this Thursday, 5th March.

Children are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character.

Please do not feel the need to buy new costumes—there are plenty of simple, fun and affordable DIY ideas available online.

Children are also encouraged to bring along their favourite book to share and enjoy during the day.

We’re looking forward to a wonderful celebration of reading!
