This term we took part in St Alphege Infant's Victorian Day. Using role play and original research, pupils were able to meet former headmistress Sarah Bragg and learn what school was like in 1897. (They prefer school today!βΊοΈ)

We are delighted to share that local business Mrs History, as part of our 800 Acts of Kindness in 2020 initiative, have designed a St Alphege Family Walking Trail for us. crop management β
acts of bravery β
why wearing make-up in the countryside is a poor idea β
& much more. A social history document as much for its language style as its content.

In a busy Midland Railway station The Thunderer guard's whistle could be heard above all noise. They were made by Birmingham Jewellery Quarter company J Hudson & Co ACME Whistles who have been in business since 1870. Ours is now in well earned retirement, having no doubt sent 1000s of passengers on their way over the years.
