It’s important to find a space that supports and reflects our values. Through Be Her Lead, young women can find their voice and connect with experiences that are uniquely theirs. Huge thanks to our wonderful teachers for curating thoughtful literature, tasks and conversations, that create the space to support our 2026 cohort.

28 of our pupils went to watch BCFC vs Preston — another example of great support for our local team and partnership. For 22 pupils it was their first football match! Their zealous cheering impressed fellow fans and even earned them free sweets from a kind member of the community. ⚽️👏🍬

A big thanks to Louise Quinn for visiting our aspiring female footballers — taking time to answer questions and share what to expect in the modern game and career. Your insights were so inspiring! ⚽✨

We are very proud that pupils from Ark Victoria Academy, alongside Executive Principal, Ms McSorley, spoke with passion and conviction at Birmingham Citizen’s Assembly at the University of Birmingham on April 16th. In this assembly, Citizens asked electoral candidates if they would be prepared to support their asks on work and housing to improve conditions for those within the city. As we enter the final term, a reminder to all pupils and parents that every day is important in pushing our pupils towards excellence. Exam season is starting and every lesson has an impact.
Please encourage regular attendance, active participation in class and completion of homework — small, consistent steps make a big difference. Use planners or revision timetables, work on past papers, ask questions when unsure, and break study into manageable daily goals rather than leaving everything to the last minute.
We will support pupils with clear learning objectives, feedback and extra help where needed. Parents can help by providing a calm study space, checking planners, encouraging healthy sleep and nutrition, and keeping in touch with teachers if concerns arise.
Together we can make this term count: every lesson, every revision session and every restful night contributes to success.
